David Sable was appointed Global CEO of Y&R in February 2011, but his ties to the agency date back to his first job in the industry, when he joined Y&R’s training program over thirty years ago. For the 10 years prior to Y&R, David was Vice Chairman and COO at Y&R sibling company, Wunderman. In addition to returning to Y&R in 1990, David also spent time at PR giant Burson-Marsteller and Cohn & Wolfe (both parts of the Y&R Group). An early digital entrepreneur, David co-founded Genesis Direct, an innovative, web-based firm. He is a regular speaker on the digital environment and is frequently tapped for his marketing and digital expertise throughout the industry and around the world. David has an active presence in the blogosphere with his Weekly Ramble, which he has been writing since 2006. Y&R is one of the world's leading global marketing communications companies, with 186 offices in 90 countries.
